Pete Fucinaro is a saxophonist from Omaha, Nebraska. He currently attends the University of North Texas where he studies jazz performance. Currently, he performs in the Two O’Clock Lab Band for the University of North Texas, and has his own project where he performs all original music called “Pete and Bill Save the World.” He performs regularly in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well as the Omaha/Lincoln area.
Brian Steever is a drummer on a mission to inject joy into every musical situation that he finds himself. The drums have been his passion since he was born. He began his studies with Loyd Warden in Columbia Missouri and is an alumnus of UMKC where he was fortunate enough to study with Doug Auwarter, Brandon Draper, Curtis Lundy, Michael Carvin and Bobby Watson. Brian enjoys many performance opportunities in the Kansas City area and beyond. He can be seen around town with Mike Metheny, Matt Otto, Bob Bowman, Jeff Harshbarger, and Hermon Mehari. Brian has also had opportunity to play with musicians from all over the world including Steve Cardenas, Ben Allison, Javon Jackson, Deborah Brown, Bob Sheppard, Jerry Dodgion, Tony Tixier, Shunzo Ohno, Frank Basile, Roger Rosenberg, and Sam Newsome among others.
Dr. Andrew Janak is an active saxophonist/composer/arranger/educator currently based out of Lincoln, NE after previously spending several years in Chicago, IL. Andrew has shared the stage with jazz greats Donny McCaslin, Randy Brecker, Ingrid Jensen, Christine Jensen, Gary Foster, Stefon Harris, Matt Wilson, Jeff Lederer, Jeff Hamilton, Phil Woods, Jimmy Heath and Scott Wendholt. He has also worked with various jazz/commercial groups around the Midwest such as the Omaha Big Band, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, Mike Gurciullo and His Las Vegas Lab Band, Bob Lark’s Alumni Band Band, Tom Matta Big Band and Andrew Janak and Wind Armada, a progressive jazz group specializing in original music. He also has performed/recorded with national acts such as the Temptations, Aloe Blacc, Johnny Mathis, Michael Feinstein and Justin Townes Earle. As a classical saxophonist Andrew studied with renowned performer/pedagogue Dr. Paul Haar and performed with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Wind Ensemble, Omaha Symphony, Lincoln Symphony, Lincoln Municipal Band, and various chamber groups.
